Welcome
With great pleasure, I welcome you to the Trinidad & Tobago Forum, the local chapter of the International Women’s Forum.
The International Women’s Forum (IWF) is a network of approximately 7,000 accomplished women leaders, from 33 countries on six continents.
The Trinidad & Tobago chapter of the International Women’s Forum (IWFTT), established in 2014, is a community of women leaders from a range of professions and sectors. The core purpose of IWF, and by extension IWFTT, is to recognise, celebrate and connect accomplished women leaders. We are also focused on accelerating the emergence of the next generation of female trailblazers, by creating opportunities for those individuals who are still building their career and businesses, to access a unique, diverse, international community of female thought-leaders and game changers.
These women who have made significant contributions in their specialist fields, sectors and industry, share the experiences and the solutions that enabled them to forge ahead. Most importantly, there is also the opportunity to cultivate life-long friendships in an environment built on trust. One of the pillars of IWF is the recognition that as a community of diverse women leaders, our power lies in our unity.
Women bring a unique perspective to leadership, and it is now well established that leadership diversity is essential for success in any sector. Advancing women’s leadership, is not a gender issue, it is much bigger than that. In the local context, it is the key to national and Caribbean development.
I encourage you to explore the site and look forward to meeting you at one of our sessions.
